The eagerly anticipated release of SketchUp 2025 is officially here! It's time to take your 3D modeling workflows to the next level. The update introduces photorealistic materials, seamless interoperability, and curated, configurable content, all so you can do more with less effort and rework. Explore the highlights:


Advanced visualization tools: help your clients see and feel your vision with photorealistic materials and contextual Environments.


Curated subscriber content: add richer context to your designs with curated content libraries and prebuilt, configurable 3D models from 3D Warehouse


New layers of documentation: ease the transition from 3D in SketchUp for Desktop to 2D with updates in LayOut.


Interoperability improvements: move in and out of SketchUp confidently with more consistency in IFC round-trip data and predictable file import and export.



A 12 month subscription issued to a named user for a period of 12 months. The subscription includes all updates and upgrades issued through the year. Two activations are provided, allowing you to use in the office and whilst on the move.


The subscription can also be used to activate the desktop versions of Sketchup Pro 2024 and Sketchup Pro 2024.

Extension Warehoue

Extension Warehouse is home to hundreds of free and paid apps for rendering, drawing, productivity, energy analysis, and more.


3D Warehouse

Access to over 4.8 million pre-built 3D and 2D content from the world's largest 3D model library. Access a growing repository of Live Components and pre-built parametric models for architecture, construction, and interiors. Parametrically customize dimensions on objects such as windows and timber framework to suit your project needs.


Layout

Scale your model to paper space and add annotations, dimensions and more using our 2D documentation application, LayOut. The best part is when your 3D model changes, your 2D documents track that change, too.


VR model viewing

Wow your clients with a walkthrough of their project on Microsoft HoloLens, HTC Vive, or Oculus, on your phone or tablet.

System Requirements


Sketchup 2025 requires Windows 11 or 10, Mac OS 15 (Sequoia), 14+ (Sonoma), 13+ (Ventura), 12+ (Monterey) 

Sketchup 2024 requires Windows 11 or 10, Mac OS 14 (Sonoma), 13+ (Ventura), 12+ (Monterey), MacOS 11+ (Big Sur)

Sketchup 2023 requires Windows 11 or 10, Mac OS 13+ (Ventura), 12+ (Monterey), MacOS 11+ (Big Sur)


Boot Camp, VMWare, and Parallels are not supported environments

Mac and PC systems require the following minimum hardware:

  • 500MB of available HDD or SSD space  (SketchUp is unable to support case sensitive hard drives)
  • 3D-class video card with 512MB of memory or higher and supports hardware acceleration (OpenGL version 3.0 or higher)
  • 3-button, scroll-wheel mouse


SketchUp's New Graphics Engine

Sketchup 2024 introduces a powerful new graphics engine that comes with some additional requirements:

For MacOS, you must use version 12.3.1 or above. We recommend at least 13 and above for optimal performance. The following MacOS GPUs are unsupported:


  • Intel HD Graphics 5000
  • Intel HD Graphics 6000
  • Intel Iris Graphics
  • Intel Iris Graphics 6100
  • Intel Iris Pro Graphics

For MacOS, the new renderer requires Metal 2 support.


The following Windows GPUs are unsupported:

Intel HD Graphics 4x00 series

  • For Windows, the new renderer requires DirectX12, feature level 11.0 support.
