Many SketchUp users have been experiencing problems logging into their SketchUp account and receiving the error message "Auth Token Cannot Be Used" or being continually returned to the sign in screen.
Trimble are reporting that they have resolved the error but if you do get caught by it, follow the instructions below to resolve the problem.
Firstly, log out of all SketchUp programs using the Help > Sign Out command or by right clicking the circular icon at the top left of the window and selecting Sign Out. Then...
If using Windows....
Go to C:\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2022\SketchUp and then delete the file named login_session.dat
Once in the
directory you may need to select View and tick the Hidden Items checkbox to see
the file
Now try launching SketchUp, all should be resolved.
If using MacOS...
In Finder, select
Go To Folder and type in ~/Library/Application Support/ then you'll be able to
see the SketchUp folders.
Go to the Sketchup 2022 folder and delete the file login_session.dat
Now try launching
SketchUp, all should be resolved.
